Bringing Down the Shovel, was a great book and had many enjoyable poems. One of my personal favorites is "A Poem in which I Try to Express My Glee at the Music My Friend Has Given Me". The long titles are very fascinating to me and I believe they add an entire another dimension to the poem. Titles of pieces of literature are very important, because it sets the tone and provides the sneak peak into the art. We see often in songs that the title is a part of the song, usually the chorus. In poetry its usually the the first line or the start to each stanza. Poems with longer titles are different because they just catch one off guard. Its risky and polarizing, and one either will hate it or love it.
The poem turned out to be amazing as well. His words were very upbeat and happy. He even made up words to express more accurately how happy and gleeful he was. The words though, just flow together and you do not really notice they are created. You notice and realize this is an upbeat poem right away. It makes you want to read more of it and it puts you in a good mood.
