Science in Poetry

After reading the poems for this week concerning science in poetry, I discovered a little bit about the way the author integrates science. I feel that in the magic sector of poetry, the poet is able to use various illusions and pull off different tricks to make the poem successful. Meanwhile, when science is incorporated into the poem, I felt that the scope was pertinent to a certain subject rather than a diverse range. For example, I noticed in the poem "Dust" the majority of the science used was astronomy while in the poem "Against Predication" biology was used. Maybe this is because I am a novice to the use of science in poetry but maybe this will become clearer in the future. Just my thought.
